Ask A Question

Will the approved QOZs be reevaluated after a number of years?

Since areas and the economy change, will congress reexamine the Opportunity Zones to see if new areas could be designated or other areas that have been revitalized can be removed as OZs?

I have not heard of any plan to do so, no.

This could only be done by an Act of Congress, and I wouldn't hold my breath.

I’m sure the Congress will look into that.

The zones as designated should remain the same unless a legislative change is enacted.
